Meet Ursus, our stunning three-bedroom, two-bath cabin in the heart of Idyllwild! With its elegant dark interiors, Ursus provides a spacious haven for groups of up to 8.

🌲 The primary bedroom upstairs features a king-sized bed, the adjacent bedroom holds 2 XL full beds, and the downstairs bedroom has a cozy queen-sized bed
🌲 There are two full bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs

As you step into the cabin, you’ll be greeted by the living room, complete with a fireplace and a Frame Smart TV that invites you to cozy up and enjoy a movie night or simply relax by the warm glow of the fire. A full dining room and kitchen provide all the amenities you need to prepare delicious meals and create lasting memories together.

For moments of quiet reflection or getting lost in a good book, there’s a reading area at the top of the stairs where you can find a quiet moment to escape into your thoughts.

Featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms, Ursus offers a stylish and inviting space for you and your loved ones to connect and unwind. The primary bedroom upstairs has a king-size bed and a convenient desk perfect for journaling about your adventures. Next door, the second bedroom offers two Full XL beds. The third bedroom on the main floor features a queen-size bed.

The property is perfect for a family or group of friends.

At Freewyld, travel is not just about visiting new places but also about reconnecting with what matters. At the cabin, you have the option to either “Be Free” or “Live Wyld.” Switching into “Wyld Mode” is an opportunity to be present in the moment and connect with those around you. We’ve stocked the cabin with a collection of screen-free activities for you to enjoy, and nature’s playground is right outside.

✶ OUTDOOR AREAS ✶

When you book the Ursus cabin, you have three private outdoor spaces to enjoy. The largest is the upstairs deck, accessible by outdoor stairs or through French doors from the master bedroom. It’s roomy enough for your whole group to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. The second is a covered dining area accessible through the kitchen. Off to the side, you have your own hot tub to soak tired muscles after a busy day of exploring Idyllwild.

Access to the shared Wyldwood Park is part of your stay. With Strawberry Creek running through it, you can practice yoga, enjoy a picnic, or experience breathwork amid nature’s grandeur.

Idyllwild is under a fire ban. No open flames are allowed. We have security cameras operating outside on property. Carbon monoxide, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers are tested and available for emergencies.

Allowed; please bring your baby gear. We don’t provide high chairs or cribs. This property does include stairs. The hot tub is covered but isn’t locked.

“ Great gateway if you’re looking for a peaceful and quite place. We felt in love with the back yard, big space for the kids to run around in a safe place, no need to go far to take a nice walk, there’s a trail and the main town is within a walking distance. "

“ Our family had a wonderful stay at the Barn! It is a great location to downtown and had a beautiful backyard lit up by edison bulbs on strings and a nice patio for hot drinks. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub during the cold nights! The beds were super, super comfortable! We cooked all 4 nights and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary tools. We did sled a lot so we could have used a dryer, but just laid the kids snow gear and boots out by the heaters and it worked fine. Love the sliding barn doors! "

“ This is a great cabin for a family or two to stay. The back area that is shareable and utilizable with the stay is breathtaking. If you come when there is snow you will enjoy this to the fullest extent. Pictures do not do the outdoors justice. Also a very easy walk to town. Would love to stay again. Interior is very nice and clean. They do supply an abundance of towels and pillows. Plenty of cookware and dishes as well. "

“ My friends and I wanted to have our winter friendsmas get together and Eric’s home was the best cabin for it. Eric was responsive and very helpful. The property has a beautiful backyard that includes a hot tub that overlooks the beautiful lush trees. The beds were comfortable and it being two stories allows the guests to have their own space but also get together to socialize. The property was only a 10 minute walk away from all the town’s attractions. This place is the perfect home for family gatherings and a weekend getaway. I will definitely stay again! "

For outdoor enthusiasts, the San Jacinto Mountains provide a scenic backdrop for hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. A popular shorter hike is the Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail, suitable for the whole family for sightseeing and easy hiking. Or challenge yourself to complete the 8.1-mile Tahquitz Peak Trail Lookout hike for jaw-dropping views (just be sure to get the $5 Wilderness Permit first.)
