Meet Ursus, our stunning three-bedroom, two-bath cabin in the heart of Idyllwild! With its elegant dark interiors, Ursus provides a spacious haven for groups of up to 8.

🌲 The primary bedroom upstairs features a king-sized bed, the adjacent bedroom holds 2 XL full beds, and the downstairs bedroom has a cozy queen-sized bed
🌲 There are two full bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs

As you step into the cabin, you’ll be greeted by the living room, complete with a fireplace and a Frame Smart TV that invites you to cozy up and enjoy a movie night or simply relax by the warm glow of the fire. A full dining room and kitchen provide all the amenities you need to prepare delicious meals and create lasting memories together.

For moments of quiet reflection or getting lost in a good book, there’s a reading area at the top of the stairs where you can find a quiet moment to escape into your thoughts.

Featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms, Ursus offers a stylish and inviting space for you and your loved ones to connect and unwind. The primary bedroom upstairs has a king-size bed and a convenient desk perfect for journaling about your adventures. Next door, the second bedroom offers two Full XL beds. The third bedroom on the main floor features a queen-size bed.

The property is perfect for a family or group of friends.

At Freewyld, travel is not just about visiting new places but also about reconnecting with what matters. At the cabin, you have the option to either “Be Free” or “Live Wyld.” Switching into “Wyld Mode” is an opportunity to be present in the moment and connect with those around you. We’ve stocked the cabin with a collection of screen-free activities for you to enjoy, and nature’s playground is right outside.

✶ OUTDOOR AREAS ✶

When you book the Ursus cabin, you have three private outdoor spaces to enjoy. The largest is the upstairs deck, accessible by outdoor stairs or through French doors from the master bedroom. It’s roomy enough for your whole group to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. The second is a covered dining area accessible through the kitchen. Off to the side, you have your own hot tub to soak tired muscles after a busy day of exploring Idyllwild.

Access to the shared Wyldwood Park is part of your stay. With Strawberry Creek running through it, you can practice yoga, enjoy a picnic, or experience breathwork amid nature’s grandeur.

Idyllwild is under a fire ban. No open flames are allowed. We have security cameras operating outside on property. Carbon monoxide, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers are tested and available for emergencies.

Allowed; please bring your baby gear. We don’t provide high chairs or cribs. This property does include stairs. The hot tub is covered but isn’t locked.

“ Our short stay was everything we hoped for! We wanted to escape the heat for the holiday and enjoy the trees and stars and the cabin was a comfortable and beautiful space to do so! It's located walking distance to town and is on a beautiful property. Strawberry Creek didn't really have moving water but that was to be expected during this time of year, I'm sure near spring time it's much more enjoyable. The kitchen could use more supplies but still had the basics and there are so many great places to eat nearby so it didn't inconvenience our stay. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond/resolve any inquiries/issues. The hot tub was a highlight and the stargazing didn't disappoint! My family and I look forward to returning!! "

“ Beautiful, peaceful property. Living room and main bedroom have A/C which made things very comfortable. Hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day of outdoor activities. Very easy check in/out, and the hosts were very accommodating for our group. Would stay again if in the area. "

“ Perfect location. Cozy, modern and not your typical mountain cabin. The grounds were beautiful and the home was comfortable. Higher end finishing and furnishings. We spent more time here than we usually do at an Airbnb as it was an experience in and of itself. Reading in the hammock, playing at the creek with our daughter, having breakfast in the beautiful dining room and enjoying the hot tub were highlights. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms stay really dark with the blinds closed = great sleep. We will definitely be back! "

A popular shorter hike is the Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail, suitable for the whole family for sightseeing and easy hiking. Or challenge yourself to complete the 8.1-mile Tahquitz Peak Trail Lookout hike for jaw-dropping views (just be sure to get the $5 Wilderness Permit first.)
