“ This place is magical. Super close to town and beautiful decor and details. The communal area is gorgeous at night with a large table lit by string lights and hammocks for stargazing. I would stay again in a heartbeat if visiting idyllwild. I also forgot my headphones and the hosts were very responsive and are mailing them to me. Overall awesome stay with a boutique feeling. ”

The bed while comfortable, my husband would have preferred a bed with some side space to make it easier to get in and out without having to crawl. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway in the beautiful Idyllwild area. ”
“ This gorgeous cozy cabin was absolutely perfect, and everything we wanted for a wonderful, short 2 day hiking trip. The kitchen had the essentials (we cooked/made coffee!), the design touches of the kitchenware, materials to explain the cabin, its electronics, and lighting were such an excellent and unique touch. I can tell some creative minds put this space together. Not to mention the close/small park, jacuzzi, serene walking space around the property, record player to jam inside the cabin, a cloud-cozy bed, easy parking, and nearby the center of town--it's a no-brainer! This place is perfect. 1000/10 stars! ”

“ Very clean and cute little cabin. The little village that it's in is very well kept with lots of beautiful lights and a nice amphitheater that my kids loved playing in. The unit is small. It's very clean, the appliances all seem pretty new, the towels are really nice. The kitchen has a full refrigerator and all the basics. It's close to town but also quite close to the street so you'll hear all the cars come by, although we were there on a pretty quiet weekend. ”

For outdoor enthusiasts, the San Jacinto Mountains provide a scenic backdrop for hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. A popular shorter hike is the Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail, suitable for the whole family for sightseeing and easy hiking. Or challenge yourself to complete the 8.1-mile Tahquitz Peak Trail Lookout hike for jaw-dropping views (just be sure to get the $5 Wilderness Permit first.)

While we aren't an event venue, we do allow guests who buy out all 4 cabins host small get togethers. Whether it's a transformative yoga retreat, or a team-building corporate event, our village can fit your needs. However, weddings, elopements, and receptions are not allowed at Freewyld. Please note that all events must be approved in advance, and all vendors must be identified. An additional event fee may apply, separate from the cabin rental fees.
