“ Really enjoyed my "me"-treat at Freewyld. As a Birthday gift to myself, I wanted to find a place that was close to home but where I could get out in nature and enjoy being away from the city.- Freewyld was absolutely the perfect place for me this weekend. It had all the amenities along with wide open outdoor space to explore, lounge in a hammock, or soak in the private jacuzzi.- The owner really encourages his guests to unplug, connect with each another while at the same time breathing in the natural beauty that surrounds you there in Idyllwild. Thanks Eric for making Freewyld such magical place for making memories. I'll be back! ”

The host provided great recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities, making the trip even better. “ We recently stayed at this charming tiny cabin and had an amazing experience! The cabin was incredibly cozy and impeccably clean. Its cute design added a special touch to the stay, and the hot tub was a fantastic bonus. The hosts were excellent at responding to messages promptly, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. You can easily walk to town, it's very nice and private. Highly recommend! ”

So glad I went with Erics spot as some night we could even just walk right across the street to find some amazing food. It's an incredible mix between feeling private but also in the heart of the town. The hottub felt private and the view was incredible. Will definitely book again if I come back in the summer time. ”
“ My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at this air b n b! It’s very close to the main town of Idyllwild, but super peaceful and serene. You can hear the stream right outside from the deck which was a wonderful sound to listen to while drinking coffee in the morning. The hot tub was perfect to sit in at night and look at the mountains and stars at night. Very clean and cozy, would highly recommend. Eric and Jasper were very friendly and communicative, making sure we had everything we needed and had a very positive experience. ”

It was so nice to have a private deck and hot tub. We loved walking around town and exploring the creek. The only addition that would've been nice was a couch blanket! ”

It was very clean and cozy and had several cute additions such as robes and slippers for guests to borrow during their stay and many toiletries such as lip balm, make up removing wipes, etc. with their logo engraved on it. The Airbnb is in a perfect location, super close to the town, yet still feels very private and nestled into the woods. The jacuzzi was a great amenity as well, especially after our long hikes! The grounds near the Airbnb were fun to explore such as the creek and hammocks. ”

“ I cant describe how lovely our Christmas vacation was here. The picture with the theater of string lights... I assumed that was just somewhere near town, but its actually right below the cabin! And since its such a small private village, we got to slow dance down there by ourselves. The hot tub was amazing and had a great view. The cabin somehow stayed warm and cozy even on the coldest days. There was a specified parking space, and easy entry code. The walk into town was decent and gave us a nice view of the sunset. Kitchen was full of amenities so I was able to cook and bake pie. Would definitely love to come here again. ”

While we aren't an event venue, we do allow guests who buy out all 4 cabins host small get togethers. Whether it's a transformative yoga retreat, or a team-building corporate event, our village can fit your needs. However, weddings, elopements, and receptions are not allowed at Freewyld. Please note that all events must be approved in advance, and all vendors must be identified. An additional event fee may apply, separate from the cabin rental fees.
